It is pretty ironic that a man who has amassed a fortune on the back of capitalism is being stifled by communism. Originally scheduled to perform in China on October 23rd, the Cultural Ministry has forbid Jay‘s show at Shanghai’s HongKou Stadium.
Sun Yun, the promotor of the show for KS Productions, explained the Ministry’s decision to the state run Shaghai Daily paper, “some of Jay-Z‘s songs contain too much vulgar language.”
Apparently his violent lyrics and tales of drug dealing offended the elder Chinese officials, who decided that Jay’s current world tour would not be making that stop in the far east. Ticket holders however, were only notified
