Arsonal’s final rap battle, against legend of the scene Loaded Lux, passed half a million YouTube views in its first 48 hours online, and continues to generate both views and debate.
The battle, which went down at U Dubb’s Alpha N Omega event in August, represents a long and storied career for Arsonal. The New Jersey rapper made a name for himself battling the toughest opponents across all major leagues, taking on the likes of Hollow Da Don, Conceited, Hitman Holla, Tay Roc, and Dizaster (twice).
Lux doesn’t grace the battle stage often, and that Arsonal could book the Harlem legend for his own farewell battle speaks to the reputation Ars won for himself throughout the years.
Both performers showed out sufficiently to provided their supporters with enough ammo to hotly debate who walked away with the W. Ars came with his typical aggression and energy, and was met with Lux’s dense lyricism and dynamic performance.

While the battle might not go down as the pinnacle of either of their careers, this clash of the titans was certainly a fitting way for Ars to bow out.
Fans on social media did their best to make it seem like their guy won.
At times like this the only thing to do is watch the battle yourself. Check it out above.
While the match-up signaled the end of Ars’ battle career, it also comes just as Lux re-enters the music scene with his new album, Talk Dirty. The recently released record features verses from Joey Bada$$, Vado, and Fred The Godson.
