Eminem‘s next project has gone from a street mixtape to an official retail album. Eminem Presents The Re-Up will serve as an outlet for Em to push Shady/Aftermath new artists along with some vets. Slim will produce most of the albums cuts with some help from The Alchemist. Not to worry, Em will be on the mic as well.
The album is slated to hit stores on December 5th via Shady/Interscope, obviously a big jump from a street tape. “Instead of putting it out there rough and unfinished, I thought we
should add some other new tracks, make it a real album and put it in
the record stores to give these new artists a real boost,” Eminem says.
Among those featured on the album will be Stat Quo, Bobby Creekwater and Ca$his, who is featured on the first single You Don’t Know with Eminem, 50 Cent,
Lloyd Banks. Contrary to previous reports, the album will not be a tribute to Proof. According to Em the album “is about these new artists and these new songs. It isn’t fair to them or to the memory of Proof to mix them up.”
