ScHoolboy Q caught a big break this week when a DA chose to dismiss his armed robbery case.
Unbeknownst to fans, Q was under investigation for felony armed robbery following an incident that took place in March.
According to TMZ, following a Los Angeles concert featuring ScHoolboy Q, the alleged victims followed the rapper to an after party. Upon arriving at the after party, they claimed they were robbed at gunpoint.
Following the robbery, they told authorities they saw Q arrive in another vehicle while the robbery went down. The hopeful party crashers did reveal that the rapper “never participated in the actual robbery.”

Based on the information provided by the alleged victims, it was insinuated that Q was the mastermind behind the crime since he allegedly pulled up as the robbery was taking place.
Luckily for ScHoolboy, a number of factors worked in his favor in regards to the case being dropped.
In addition to the alleged victims hesitating in reporting the robbery, the case suffered from a severe lack of evidence and witnesses. As a result, the entire case was rejected by the District Attorney.
Given that Top Dawg recently revealed that a new ScHoolboy Q album could be on the horizon, felony armed robbery charges would have likely put a damper on any new tunes from Q. According to Top Dawg, an album from ScHoolboy will be released after Kendrick Lamar and SZA.
