Next time you go to the mall or any similar public place, see how many people walk by nodding their head to their iPod. Look for people chilling on a bench with their eyes glued to their PSP or someone leaned against the wall firing off some emails on their BlackBerry. I’ll bet you run out of fingers in about 20 minutes. Putting a new twist to traditional award shows, MTV2’s “All That Rocks” wants you to pick your device of choice to see just what the Most Critical Hardware is.

iPod: There are few products in the world today with so much competition that dominate the market place the way the iPod does. The Apple Computers portable media player owns a baffling 75% of the saturated MP3 player market. Now on the fifth generation of the iPod family, the current product line features the video iPod, the Nano with color screen and the Shuffle. Sizes range from 512 megs to 60 gigs and work with the seemingly infinite amount of accessories available today from Apple and other manufacturers. Click HERE to vote for the iPod.
