Reach Records started off 2017 by releasing Lecrae’s first radio single, “Blessings,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign. As the label builds momentum for the year, it announced the signing of a new artist, Aha Gazelle.
The New Orleans rapper was publicly welcomed onto the Atlanta label via Twitter earlier this week with an interview with Bay Bay. Gazelle explains how his 10-year journey grinding to make music led him to the Reach Records deal. After being courted by several labels, he says after talking with Lecrae and co-founder Ben Washer, he felt like it was the right situation.
“It was like, ‘So you’re not really trying to change what I’m doing or nothing?'” he says of wanting to maintain creative control of his music. “It was like, ‘No, we want to enhance.'”
Gazelle continues by saying that getting in the studio with the team was further confirmation that Reach was home.

“The whole vibe, the whole energy, it just felt right with me,” he says.
Gazelle made his personal announcement while speaking at his alma mater, Grambling State University. He was congratulated by the school’s president, Rick Gallot.
Gazelle’s latest project, Trilliam, features nine bouncy tracks as he weaves personal stories of faith with declarations of ambition to make an impact on the rap game.
The newcomer joins Andy Mineo, Trip Lee, Tedashii, KB and GAWVI at the label that has won multiple Grammys and created a #1 album with Lecrae’s Anomaly that is now certified Gold.
