Filming for a music video took a tragic turn when an actor was shot and killed while on set.

According to BBC News, a music video was being filmed for the Australian Hip Hop group Bliss n Eso when the shooting took place.

During filming for the music video, several firearms were reportedly discharged, with one letting loose a shot that killed the actor, who was in his 20s. He was reportedly struck in the chest.

Although the members of Bliss n Eso were not on set when the incident went down at Brooklyn Standard bar in Brisbane, Australia, they did express their shock and grief on Facebook.

“We are incredibly saddened that a tragic incident has occurred today where a professional stunt person involved in filming our latest music video has passed away this afternoon in Brisbane…The three of us are extremely upset and shaken up by this and our hearts and prayers go out to the victim’s family and friends as well as the cast and crew who were involved in the clip today,” the trio wrote.

Several weeks ago, Bliss n Eso posted an open call on their Instagram page for those interested in starring in their next music video.

Authorities, who are currently unaware if live rounds or blanks were used during the shooting, have revealed that a criminal investigation is currently underway.

“We do not know specifically how those injuries occurred at this point in time and that’ll be [the] subject of our investigation,” Detective Inspector Tom Armitt said, BBC News reports.
