It was a couple years ago that crooner Sleepy Brown saw his debut album leak onto the Internet. Grown & Sexy (or Phunk-o-naut, depending on who you ask)
never did get a release date and the months flew with little to no word about
the LP from the frequent Outkast
collaborator. But Sleepy will finally hit the shelves via Big Boi’s Purple Ribbon label. Mr.
Brown will feature production from Organized
Noise (of which he is a member), The
Neptunes and Will.i.am…
No stranger to platinum sales, Cam’ron’s first album on Asylum
Records doesn’t seem to be on its way to garnering him another plaque. Killa Season hasn’t been met with any
critical acclaim and it looks as if the sales are following along. The album
has only moved some 176,000 units in 3 weeks of charted sales…
