Sometimes rap battles end up being about more than just the rapping. Case in point, St. Louis legend Aye Verb’s recent clash with well-respected female battler Bonnie Godiva on Rare Breed Entertainment. The battle went down at the New York league’s “Validation 5” event on November 12, and the footage dropped as a special Thanksgiving release on Thursday. The battle has accumulated just under 60,000 YouTube views in its first few days online, with another 200,000 on Worldstar.

Many fans called the battle in favor of Verb, but Bonnie certainly had her highlights — most notably her third round when she pulled out a giant black, double-headed dildo as a prop, calling it Verb’s “mother’s strap.” Side note: yes, that is Mickey Factz watching from the front row.

Bonnie was also laughing about the incident afterwards while speaking to Rap Grid. When the interviewer chuckled about the prop she laughed along saying “He looked like he liked it though.”
The rivalry between the two rappers goes back years. Though Bonnie was the first female MC that Verb had faced, he dissed the entire Queen Of The Ring league a few years ago. In 2014, Bonnie responded on VladTV to Verb’s claims that female battlers should be “sucking dick and staying in the kitchen.”

“It’s obnoxious, it’s terrible. That’s why I said I have to kill him,” she explained.
More recently, Aye Verb dropped his latest mixtape last week, featuring guest spots from Mickey Factz, Goodz, Hitman Holla, B-Magic and others.
