Cameron Sterling, son of the late Alton Sterling, received an unexpected surprise when he had the opportunity to meet Kanye West and Kim Kardashian backstage at the November 1 Saint Pablo Tour show in Inglewood, California.

Sterling, who posed in a photo with the Wests backstage, was present at the concert on his 16th birthday.

The photo was later shared on social media by Justin Bamberg, Esq., a lawyer representing the family of Alton Sterling in a wrongful death lawsuit.

In the caption to the photo of the trio, Bamberg wrote:

Following the July shooting death of Alton Sterling at the hands of Baton Rouge police, Kanye shared video of the shooting on his Twitter account with the caption “Alton Sterling.”

Many in the Hip Hop community, including Drake and Chuck D, were outraged by the death of Sterling.
