With the success of Lil Kim’s BET reality show, Countdown to Lockdown, the network isn’t wasting anytime developing similar shows. Next up on the small screen are reality shows featuring DMX and former Texas quarter back Vince Young. Young’s show will follow the young star as he prepares for life in the NFL, while DMX: Soul of a Man will dive deep into the rapper’s often troubling personal life. No dates for either debut are available as of press time.
Another chapter has been added to the R.Kelly/Jay Z saga. Roc associate Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith pleaded guilty yesterday to charges of disorderly conduct. Smith sprayed The Pied Piper with mace during a New York show of 2004’s ill fated Best of Both Worlds Tour. For the attack on Kelly, Smith received a punishment of four days community service and two days of anger management counseling.
