Freshly prepared for a screening at the Tribeca Film Festival April 28th, the Rock the Bells team is back together, ready to make Rock the Bells IV a TWO-NIGHT event to remember. The first night is set for August 5, 2006 for Southern California fans and a second night is tapped for fans from Northern California, the following night.
The film chronicles Carla Garcia and Chang Weisberg of Guerilla Union and their journey to reunite all the members of the Wu-Tang Clan in one magical night, for Rock the Bells III. It is one of the many highly anticipated music documentaries of the year.
Following up on the success of Freestyle: The Art Of Rhyme , this documentary is said to chronicle the trials and tribulations of booking, promoting and creating what would become the last show, Wu-Tang , performed as a fully organized crew.
While a few members of the Wu made it back for last years event, Raekwon and Ghostface performed, but it was RZA who played dual roles as special guest and host (only in title), it was obvious there were some crucial pieces missing.

The Hieroglyphics crew, Sage Francis , Redman and Nas held the crowd at bay. Q-Bert amazed the masses with his single table technique, that sounded like he had 4 tables and 2 samplers and Talib kept the crowd moving for his full ½ hour set, while the legendary Supernatural had fans saying “DAMN, how’d he do that” all day.
This year, Rock the Bells IV looks to be building on the successes of previous years. While there are no locations set for the Southern and Northern California shows yet, with Wu-Tang headlining, including a tribute to ODB , Mos Def , Talib , Redman , De La Soul , Del , Living Legends , Immortal Technique , MURS and Supernat , it’s sure to have more than enough for each and every hip-hop fan. Keep a look out for late announcements and surprise performers at rockthebells.net.
