Gang Starr co-founder Guru is prepping the fourth installment of his Jazzmatazz album series.

The album, titled Jazzmatazz Vol. 4 , will be available later this year and will be released off of Guru and Solar’s imprint, Seven Grand Records .

The album features the vocals of Guru and the production of Solar , a new “kind of producer”.

As their website states, “Solar is a complete producer not just beatmaker! He has created the soundscape for the new and improved Guru and challenged him to push himself to new heights of his lyrical abilities”.
The double disc collection boasts guest spots from Common , Raheem Devaughn , David Sanborn , Ronny Laws and Natasha Beddingfield .
While Guru and Solar will produce tracks together and possibly separately, Solar will overall be handling the production on the album.
Guru is promising the best chapter in the book of Jazzmatazz to date.
Late last year, Guru and Solar released Guru’s solo project; Version 7.0: The Street Scriptures . The first single is also expected to drop in the fall and will be the one of the first releases off the Seven Grand label since Version 7.0
