Three 6 Mafia is set to be honored tomorrow at the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum. The group is scheduled to receive presentations from The City of Memphis, the Beale Street Brass Note Committee, and the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum. Triple Six made history recently, becoming the first rap group to win an Oscar for “Best Original Song.” After over a decade in the game, the group, which has switched rosters several times, will receive a key to the city.

It seems that trouble follows Busta Rhymes every where. The New York Daily News is reporting that the emcee smacked former Source magazine owner Dave Mays with a bottle, sending Mays to the hospital. Both men have made headlines recently, Rhymes for various altercations since the death of his body guard and Mays for getting permanently ousted from the magazine he created. Regarding the incident, Mays is sticking to the code of the streets and will not talk about the incident. We’ll keep you posted on this one.

Bad Boy artist Black Rob was sentenced to seven years in prison yesterday. The sentence stems from a 2004 grand larceny case Rob caught after a hotel room robbery. XXL reports that the emcee missed a court date to turn himself in during the month of January. Upon missing the date, Rob was declared a fugitive and was picked up late February. Because he fled, he was given the maximum sentence. He was originally scheduled to serve two-to-six years
