With TI’s latest effort, King hitting store shelves today, the internet has been buzzing recently over an album track titled I’m Talkin to You.

Tip opens the track saying that he “can’t catch all of you but I can make an example out of a couple” is throwing some harsh words in some unlucky emcees direction. But the name behind the track remains a mystery.

At first listen it seems that TI is getting at Cash Money’s Lil Wayne. A line in the song references Jay Z “The real President Carter”, which served as fuel for the Wayne rumor. In addition, among the many emcees name checked on the song for people he’s not talking about, Weezy isn’t one mentioned.

However, TI says there’s no beef in the air between Cash Money’s President Carter and himself and the song is a blanket dis to anybody that fits the description.

“I don’t feel like hearing the backlash of, ‘Who you talking to?’ “ he told MTV. “N—as expect me to have some elaborate story of who I’m talking to. But on the real, I’m talking about anybody who’s representing fake sh–. Ain’t nobody specific. … But if the shoe fits, kick it. If that’s what you represent and think these are the things you embody, then yeah, I’m talking to you. If you feel a certain way, then I must be. It’s tailor made? Go ahead and wear it.”

King features guest spots from UGK, Jamie Foxx, Young Jeezy, BG and production from Just Blaze and Swizz Beatz.
