A year ago this month Marion “Suge” Knight, CEO and co-founder of the infamous Death Row Records, lost a civil suit to Lydia Harris for $107 million.
Harris’ ex-husband is convicted drug dealer Michael “Harry-O” Harris who financed the California based label and was defrauded of the money owed to him.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Ronald Sohigian declared that he plans to seize control of Suge’s personal and business assets after he refused to pay the $107 million judgment.
Suge can prevent this if he cooperated and revealed his assets to the court.

“Because he had a long history of deceiving the court and avoiding payment, I asked the court to appoint a receiver to take over. If Knight cooperates in providing the information, he can ask the court to remove the receiver. But I don’t think there’s a chance in hell Knight is going to cooperate,”Harris’ lawyer Rex Julian Beaber told Reuters.
The Judge said that Death Row Records will be placed in receivership if Kinght does not appear at a debtor hearing next month.
Suge was not present at the hearing.
