Hot on the heels of the FX TV show, Black White, Ice Cube is ready to ride out on the streets of Las Vegas.
Cube is set to host and perform at Spike TV’s second annual auto awards show, Auto Rox. He will perform two Chrome and Paint and Why We Thugs from his upcoming independent release, Laugh Now, Cry Later.
The show, which is being moved from Los Angeles will be filmed April 7 at the Fremont Street Experience in down town Las Vegas. The 90-minute special will air April 18. The star-studded homage to cars will feature categories including Best Luxury Car, Hottest Exotic, Convertible, Sports Car, SUV’s and others. Nominees have not been announced as of press time.
“AutoRox will celebrate guys’ lifelong love affair with chrome, wheels and gears,” said Allen Patterson, Senior Vice President of Event Production and Talent, Development at Spike TV. “Our host Ice Cube is truly passionate about cars and where better than Vegas to make this an all out celebration with big musical performances and the hottest cars of the year.”
