Lumumba Carson, better known to the world as Professor X from the legendary afro-centric X-Clan, passed away this weekend from complications stemming from spinal meningitis. X-Clan are remembered as much for their pro-black rhymes and African medallions as they are for the Professor’s“vanglorious” and his taunt of “sssissiiees”. If you are one of the few people out there without a copy of Big’s classic debut Ready To Die (bootlegs don’t count), I’d suggest you get to the store ASAP (and figure out what is wrong with you for not having it yet). On Friday courts ruled that an Ohio Players sample was used illegally on the title track of the album. Diddy’s Bad Bay Records has been ordered to pay $4.2 million to Bridgeport Music and Westbound Records and Ready To Die will be pulled from the shelves. An appeal is expected…
