Recently, the internet rumor mill was at it again, this time about Fat Joe. Word on the wires was that the Terror Squad label head was being dropped from Atlantic Records.
In a statement released yesterday, label executive Craig Kallman dispelled the rumors and re-affirmed the labels dedication to Joe.
“Fat Joe is an icon in the hip-hop community – an artist, producer, writer, tastemaker, and entrepreneur with tremendous vision, influence, and creativity. We are proud to have had Fat Joe as a member of the Atlantic family for the past eight years, and we are looking forward to continuing our great relationship with Joe and his Terror Squad label.”
In other Atlantic related news, TI will release his highly anticipated album, King, March 28. The new album will feature the current lead single What You Know as well as guest appearances from UGK and others.
