For years, Jay Electronica has apparently been sitting on his completed studio debut Act II: Patents Of Nobility (as long as he didn’t delete it). He’s teased its release before, but each time fans have been left waiting for the follow-up to his 2007 breakout mixtape, Act I: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge).
During that time the New Orleans MC has dropped some singles and the occasional guest verse, but in 2016 he ramped up his output, embarking on a short tour, appearing on Chance The Rapper’s Coloring Book, and releasing a single titled “The Curse Of Mayweather.”
The elusive rapper once again teased his album’s release on Saturday night (July 2), posting a series of tweets quoting lines from Christopher Nolan’s 2006 film The Prestige.
In the final tweet, he tells his followers to “get Tidal,” the music streaming service co-founded by his Roc Nation label boss Jay Z.

“[T]o all those who have been patient with me and supported me over the years, thank you. And get #Tidal#AreYouWatchingClosely?” he wrote shortly before deleting his Twitter account.
