The clash between Pat Stay and Hollow Da Don has hit the top spot on BattleRap.com’s picks for the best rap battles of the month.

The headline battle from KOTD’s “Massacre 2” went down in front of a sold-out crowd just outside of Boston on May 15 and got turned around for a YouTube release relatively quickly, dropping about a week later. The match-up delivered on both the entertainment factor and the historical significance, with the best battler from Canada facing off against arguably the best in the world.

“In the age of events every other weekend and more rising talent than you can keep track of, it’s important to recognize when the dudes who are supposed to be the best at this shit truly deliver,” BattleRap.com wrote in their review.

Also featured on the list from May are some standout performances, including one from Soul, who retained the Don’t Flop title in England with a steamroller showing against Raptor.
