Marijuana possession charges against Twista dropped, following March arrest in Indiana.
Chicago rapper Twista was gifted a small victory this week, when it was revealed that the misdemeanor marijuana possession charges previously filed against him have been dropped.
According to Page Six, Porter County Prosecutor Brian Gensel explained that charges against Twista and two other men arrested were dropped when the driver admitted to being in possession of the marijuana discovered by authorities.
The website also reports that Twista issued a statement comparing being arrested for marijuana possession to being arrested for jaywalking.

In late March of this year, Twista and three others were arrested when Indiana police found weed in the car they were traveling to a show in. They were arrested immediately after the discovery.
During an April appearance in court, Twista’s legal team claimed that the rapper was profiled prior to the arrest.
In response to this week’s news, Twista uploaded a screen capture of a TMZ news story about his marijuana charges being dropped, to his Instagram page. He added the following caption to the photo:
