Retired Indiana Pacers shooting guard Reggie Miller recalls filming a scene for the 1997 movie Gang Related with the late Tupac Shakur in an interview on The Dan Patrick Show. This after being asked if he ever met the rapper upon news of his mother, Afeni Shakur, passing.

“I played me as a hot dog vendor,” Miller says of filming Gang Related. “It was during the first [NBA] lockout [in 1995]. I was supposed to have fallen on hard times, and I was a hot dog vendor. But it didn’t make the movie.”

Reggie revealed that the scene included comedic dialogue between himself, Tupac and Jim Belushi.

“It was pretty funny actually,” he continues. “I can’t believe it didn’t make it.”
