According to the Los Angeles Times, the City of Los Angeles has been ordered to fork over $1.1 million to Biggie’s family for the LAPD intentionally withholding evidence regarding the investigation of the Brooklyn emcees murder.

In July of 2005, Big’s mom Voletta Wallace saw her civil suit against the LAPD and the City of LA end in a mistrial after it was discovered that the LAPD withheld critical evidence.

The information in question invovled statements that linked LAPD officers David Mack and Raphael Perez to the 1997 murder.

The $1.1 million awarded by Judge Florence-Marie Cooper was to cover court, attorney, and security costs incurred by Wallace.
