After coming off a series of legal issues in 2005, Beanie Sigel is back in the spot light. Sigel has been found guilty of simple assault (a misdemeanor) and sentenced to two years probation plus a $180 fine to cover court cost.
The conviction is the outcome of a fight involving another man outside of a Chinese restaurant back in January 2003. Sigel reportedly punched the man in both eyes, breaking the left eye socket.
In the aftermath, Beans plans to “make music, make movies and work on his clothing line,” according to his attorney, Fortunato N. Perri Jr.
This is but another link in the chain of cases for Sigel over the last few years. He was aquited of attempted murder in September and served nearly a year in prison on a 2002 weapons violation charge. He was released in August.
