There’s no such thing as Santa Claus, and plenty of people are unhappy about it. So unhappy, in fact, that they’ve decided to send letters to UPN. The network was flooded with letters from irate parents after the latest episode of Everybody Hates Chris.

The show, loosely based on the childhood of comedian Chris Rock dropped the bomb (probably to the despair of hundreds of thousands of kids) on the episode titled Everybody Hates Christmas.

“Everybody knows there’s no Santa Claus,” the show’s main character Drew told his sister Tonya. “Come here, let me show you something. I’m taking you to the toys … Santa doesn’t come down the chimney. We don’t even have a chimney. We have radiators.”

Ironically, with all the fuss over the Santa revelation, the show received little criticism for using the “n” word in the pilot episode.

Several other shows took aim at St. Nick this holiday season. During the Being Bobby Brown Christmas special, Bobby also blurted out that there was no Santa Claus, a statement heavily contested by his daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

Also, Aaron McGruder’sThe Boondocks saw Santa attacked with golf clubs and pellet guns courtesy of one of the show’s main characters, Riley Freeman.
