The hip-hop lexicon has slowly snuck into official dictionaries; it was only a matter of time before someone made a dictionary totally dedicated to the slang that has come to define hip-hop in many ways.

“If you have had a hard time following or keeping up with the fast pace of hip-hop and urban ‘street’ lingo then (this) is the book for you. Street Talk simplifies this often complex and gritty language in an easy-to-read, easy-to-follow way,”Kearse says.

The book, now available through AuthorHouse, contains more than 700 pages and 10,000 entries. Brooklyn native Kearse even covers lyrics and regional slang from QB’s ‘duns’ to a variety of Southern vernacular. Check an example:
