In the midst of album push backs, another chapter has been added to Remy Ma’s debut release, There’s Something About Remy: Based On A True Story. The disc will now be released on February 7, marking the sixth anniversary of her mentor, Big Pun.
The first lady of the Terror Squad feels the new date is more fitting.
“This reminds me of why I am where I am. Pun was the first one that gave me a shot and the first to believe in what I was doing. To me, this album date isn’t about his death-I don’t know why people celebrate the day people die. This day is about his life and his legacy and the things he did to help other people because a lot of people wouldn’t be where they are with out him,”, she says in a statement.
For fans upset about the extended wait, Remy has included several bonus features with the disc. Bonus materials include outtakes from an upcoming BET special, testimonials from other artists, freestyles, and other media rich content.
