Eminem will heat up cable boxes across the country this winter. On December 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Showtime will premier Eminem Live From New York City.

Ok, so the concert isn’t actually live. The 75-minute performance was taped this past August when Slim Shady stopped in the Big Apple for the Anger Management Tour which also featured 50 Cent and Lil Jon.

All of the songs that brought Em to super stardom will be performed, including hits from his latest album Encore, which has sold nearly five million copies since its November 2004 release.

Lose Yourself, the track that won him an Academy Award will also be performed.

The Showtime special is directed by Grammy nominated Hamish Hamilton. He has also worked with other industry heavy weights such as Madonna, rockers U2, Peter Gabriel and Norah Jones.

Hip hop and pop fans may recognize Hamilton’s name from another Showtime event. He directed One Night Star: Usher Live in March of this year.

The premier of Eminem Live From New York City will coincide with the release of his next studio album (which may fuel more rumors of his retirement) titled Curtain Call.

No information about the album is available as of press time.
