Roughly two weeks after Puff Daddy dropped his MMM mixtape, the Bad Boy Records founder has released a documentary, which shows what went into creating the newly-released project.

The documentary features a number of brief cameos, including ones from Kendrick Lamar, Swizz Beatz, Pharrell Williams, and French Montana. And at one point in the documentary, Puff speaks on being inspired by the funk-heavy music of Dr. Dre.

“Mothafuckin Dre inspires me,” Puff Daddy said. “It be the littlest shit. Just a little splash. No fuckin’ playing. None of that shit. And the shit sound funky. It’s a frequency I’m going for. It’s a little—This thing, this funk that I’m trying to get to… When everything’s done, the songs that’s gonna really matter to somebody is the ones that you was really honest with.”

In true Puffy fashion, he offered words of motivation throughout the documentary to those around him as well as those watching.
