DJ Muggs and GZA reunite on “DJ Muggs VS GZA The Genius: Grandmasters.” The album hits store shelves today after garnering a buzz on the streets.
Reminiscent of past emcee/producer groups like Gangstarr, Eric B. and Rakim and Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth, DJ Muggs is the man behind the boards, while GZA holds down emcee duties.
The album also features members of both men’s crews, including Raekwon, RZA, Masta Killa, Sen Dog and Prodigal Sunn.
On ”Grandmasters”, Muggs takes it back to the old sounds of Wu Tang’s past on tracks like ”General Principals” and ”Those That’s Bout It.”
