The internet was goin nuts last week over the exit of Young Jeezy from the down south super group Boyz N Da Hood. In place of the Trap Star, Lil Wayne of Cash Money Records and TI were set to round out the collective.

Or so we thought.

While Lil Wayne’s involvement with the group has been confirmed, TI has denied signing on for the project. In a statement released through Atlantic Records, the self proclaimed “King of the South” breaks down the myth and sets the record straight.

“Contrary to rumors circulating around the internet, I have not and will not be joining Boyz N Da Hood,” he says of the group. “Although I am and have always been part of the movement, I am not a member of the group. This is just another case of ‘Urban Legend’.”

Despite the rumor of the signing, TI is staying busy promoting his Pimp Squad Clicks debut album, “25 to Life.” He will also make his acting debut in Jellybeans, a film loosely based on the life of producer Dallas Austin.

The film hits theaters next year.
