There are just two changes within the Top 10 of the R&B/Hip Hop single sales chart this week with Drake’s reign at the top with “Hotline Bling” lasting just seven days. After just one week away from the top spot, The Weeknd finds himself back atop of the chart with his single “The Hills.” Elsewhere, Nelly’s Jeremih-assisted single “The Fix” comes in at #9 while Drake’s “Right Hand” slips to #12.
The Weeknd Retakes #1 Spot
After being knocked off the top by Drake last week, a 93% increase in sales meant The Weeknd returned to #1 this week for his single, “The Hills.” The monumental spike in sales likely came from the exposure remixes from both Eminem and Nicki Minaj gave the single, which sold 189,029 units during the seven days leading to October 15.
Drake’s “Hotline Bling” Slips
Drake’s “Hotline Bling” fell to #2 this week following an impressive set of sales from The Weeknd. During the seven days leading to October 15, “Hotline Bling” moved 118,837 units, a slight 2% decrease on the 121,049 sold last week.
