T.I. released Da’ Nic EP today (September 11).
The Atlanta rapper had been posting messages on his social media promoting the date 9-11, but did not give a reason for the posts until shortly before midnight last night.
The five-track project enlists Young Thug and Young Dro on the song “Peanut, Butter, Jelly” as the sole features.
The cover art for Da’ Nic lists the rapper, born Clifford Harris Jr., as TIP, his first stage name before going by the moniker T.I. TIP confirmed the name change in an interview with San Francisco radio station 106 KMEL.

“It’s just about time for the fans,” he says. “For the fans that’s been there since [2001’s] I’m Serious and [2003’s) Trap Muzik and the fans who’ve stood by me and stuck with me while I ventured out into doing my ‘Blurred Lines‘ or ‘Why You Wannas’ or ‘Whatever You Like,’ they stuck with me. Now, it’s time to dedicate some attention to them and I think TIP, that’s the move.”
TIP is also preparing his next album, The Dime Trap.
