For perhaps the first time in history, a NERD is sitting on top of the fashion world. Pharrell Williams, one half of The Neptunes was named the world’s best dressed man by Esquire magazine.

“Fashion’s more about feel than science,” he told Esquire.

Pharrell claimed the top spot over other a-list celebs such as Kanye West, Jay-Z, former President Bill Clinton and the United Nation’s Secretary General, Kofi Annan.

“Esquire has always been on the forefront of men’s style and fashion,” said Esquire fashion editor, Nick Sullivan. “Our list for 2005 contains 21 of the most innovative, never trendy, and always perfectly clad for the occasion individuals who roam the globe as walking examples of what it means to be a man well-clothed.”
