For those of you who can’t get enough of your favorite dead rappers, Capitol/Priority records is scheduled to release a new Eazy E compilation commemorating the rapper’s 41st birthday. Eazy-E – ‘Eternal E: Gangsta Memorial Edition will be a CD/DVD set and will feature 16 songs, seven music videos and one previously unreleased song, “A Lil’ Eazier Said” from Lil E, his 21-year-old son.

The compilation will hit record store shelves September 6, a day before Eazy’s birthday. While he hasn’t gained as much notoriety as other deceased emcees, Lil E reminds us that it was his father that helped start this gangsta ish.

There wouldn’t be nothing – not 2Pac, not Biggie, not 50 Cent, not Dr. Dre, not Eminem – if it wasn’t for my father,” Lil E says of his father’s influence. “He started it. He’s the Godfather of gangster rap.”

Also included in the package are three Rap-It-Up public service announcements, produced by BET and the Kaiser Family Foundation. The spots will promote HIV/AIDS awareness. The disease claimed the life of Eazy E in March of 1995.
