Fans of the late Notorious B.I.G. will now be able to see the former Bad Boy rapper like they’ve never seen him before; at a theater near them.
According to a Vibe.com article, Fox Searchlight Pictures have secured the rights to the emcees life story. The motion picture will be produced by B.I.G.’s mother, Voletta Wallace as well as former managers Wayne Barrow and Mark Sitts. As was previously reported by hiphopdx.com, Cheo Hodari Coker will write the screenplay. The journalist is reportedly the last person to interview the rapper before his death.
Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) is in talks to direct the film. The as yet untitled film has no cast or release date as of press time. Stay tuned to hiphopdx.com as this story develops.
