These days, it seems like capitalizing on legal woes is as fashionable as men rocking pink tees. Former Junior Mafia leading lady Lil Kim is no exception to the rule. Six days before reporting to prison to serve a one year and one day sentence, she will release The Naked Truth on September 13.
The album’s lead single is a final middle finger to all her critics titled “Shut Up Bitch.” There are no plans as of yet for a video but the song takes aim at various rumors that have revolved around The Queen Bee’s career and also takes aim at The View co-star, Star Jones.
According to MTV.com, The Naked Truth will contain production from former Murder Inc. hit maker 7 Aurelius, her beau Scott Storch and Kanye West. Lil Kim was sentenced to 366 days in prison for lying to a grand jury after a shooting involving members of her camp outside of top New York radio station Hot 97 in 2001. She was facing up to 20 years in prison.
