Fans hoping to hear another album from west coast supergroup Westside Connection may have to wait a bit longer.
Over the weekend, Mack 10 spoke to VladTV at 93.5 KDAY’s Krush Groove Concert about the possibility of reuniting with Ice Cube and WC for a new album.
“I ain’t thought about that in so long,” Mack 10 says with a grin. “I’m chasing this money right now. That was in the ’90s, and the early 2000s. I ain’t thought about Westside Connection, really.”
Its been 10 years since the group disbanded due to conflicts between Ice Cube and Mack. As each artist went their separate ways, Mack says he’s still performing and putting together a new solo album.

In recent years, the west coast Hip Hop scene has welcomed a handful of new artists, eager to continue the gangster music legacy into the twenty-first century. Rappers such as YG and Nipsey Hussle are a few of Mack 10’s favorites.
“I like YG,” he says. “I like Nipsey Hussle… I like all the youngsters really, I’m really supportive of the youngsters. I’m glad to see them doing their thing and standing up.”
