Most albums that get re-issued are done so years after the original hit shelves. G-Unit front man 50 Cent is bucking the status quo and is re-releasing his multi-platinum sophomore project The Massacre.

The re-release is simply not the same old material in a new package. The new version of the album will feature new tracks as well as a video to accompany every song. The Massacre will be re-released this summer.

In other G-Unit related news, 50 Cent is also rumored to be very close to finalizing deals to bring Mobb Deep and M.O.P. into the fold. According to an MTV.com article, “business technicalities” are the only thing keeping the deal(s) from being final. M.O.P. wasted no time recording with their soon to be family, releasing “Big Boy Game” with 50 Cent.
