Twista, “your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper” is set to bring his rapid fire flow back to the masses with the release of The Day After. The follow up to last year’s platinum plus album Kamikaze pairs the Speed Knot Mobsta up with some of the industry’s production giants. Scott Storch, Timbaland, and Kanye West contribute beats to this 14 track set. Even Twista himself steps out of the booth and behind the boards for this one.
With over a decade in the game, Twista is one of hip hop’s most sought after guest artists, with collaborations from heavy hitters Jay Z, P Diddy and R. Kelly to name a few. ASCAP recently honored the “Overnight Celebrity” with the “Most Played R&B Song of 2004” for “Slow Jamz”, a collaboration with Kanye West and actor Jamie Foxx.
In addition to The Day After which is scheduled for a September release date, Twista will also drop an album with his group, The Speed Knot Mobstaz later this year.
