Academy Award-winning rapper Common is scheduled to speak at Bucknell UniversityTuesday, March 24, at 7:30 pm EST, according to the University’s website.
His appearance has been dubbed “An Evening With Common” and will take place in the private Pennsylvania liberal arts school’s Weis Center.
Common will “discuss a range of topics including race relations in the United States and his efforts to bring about change by empowering underserved children.”
In addition, Common will address his acting, books, activism and foundation, the Common Ground Foundation.

Following the discussion, the Chicago-native is slated to stick around for a Q&A period with students.
He is the third speaker in Bucknell’s Forum series “Revolution Redefined.”
John Legend, Common’s collaborator on the Grammy- and Academy Award-winning song “Glory,” spoke and performed at the University’s Forum in 2012.
Common is scheduled to appear at Bucknell University on Tuesday, March 24, at 7:30 pm EST. The event will be taped and broadcast at a later date.
