Nearly ten days after the rapper was shot in Pleasantville, New Jersey, police have named several persons of interest in an investigation into the shooting of Beanie Sigel.
On Friday, Pleasantville Police released new information about the case and said they want to speak with Kamilah Salahuddin, Sigel’s sister-in-law. They also announced that Salahuddin’s car was “seen fleeing the scene” of the shooting on December 5 according to NBC Philadelphia. The van was pursued by police before getting away and a man named Ricky Childress exited the vehicle during the chase before being taken into custody once found.
Police also named Childress a person of interest that they want to speak with despite his already being questioned and released from custody.
The latest update comes days after police described the case as “wide open” due to a lack of witness cooperation.

“Right now, the detective doesn’t have much to go on,” Police Capt. Rocky Melendez told NBC10. “The detectives have brought a lot of people in for questioning, but unfortunately no one’s talking.”
Beanie Sigel is still in the hospital after being shot in the torso and has apparently been unable to speak with police due to his remaining intubated after the surgery.
