Just days after Tweeting that his album has been delayed because of Baby and Cash Money Records, Lil Wayne seemed to again address his status at the label at VICE’s 20th Birthday celebration in Brooklyn on Friday (December 5).

The day before, Lil Wayne Tweeted, “I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain’t that easy.”

Apparently touching on the same subject on Friday during his performance, Wayne said, “Due to technical difficulties, I’m fucked up in a bad situation, but I will be out of it soon. And I do it for y’all.”

Whether or not the statement is an indication that Wayne is set to leave the label or ready to work out his issues internally is unclear.

The latest news came on the same day that Cortez Bryant, Lil Wayne’s manager, claimed that everything between the rapper and the label was okay.

“We’re good,” Bryant said. “I’m smiling. What are you talking ‘bout? I wouldn’t be out in the club. We’re good. We’re super good. You see me.”
