Along with news that the network will be renewing two of its comedy shows and launching another pair of original series, The Hollywood Reporter reports that MTV2 will tap Charlamagne tha God as a host for a new pilot called Uncommon Sense With Charlamagne.

The Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club personality already appears as a consistent guest on MTV2’s Guy Code and will helm a panel of comedians and cover social media related news on the new show. The pilot is set to be executive produced by a team behind the launch of the network’s other shows Guy Code, Wild’N’ Out, and more. Rich Korson, who helped develop and oversaw production for Comedy Central’s The Daily Show and The Colbert Report as the former head of Jon Stewart’s Busboy Productions, will serve as the new MTV2 talk-show’s show-runner.

In addition to the new Charlamagne-led pilot, MTV2 has renewed Nick Cannon Presents: Wild’N Out for a seventh season and Guy Code for another year as well. The network will add to its roster a series called Joking Off, a half-hour game show that intersects improv comedy and social media, as well as a series called Number 2 News which will cover Internet news with a comedic spin.
