Visiting Detroit 97.1 The Ticketfor a short conversation about Detroit sports teams, Big Sean confirmed a recent collaboration with Eminem and spoke more generally about his next album release.
Asked directly about a recent photo with Eminem and the prospects of a collaboration, Sean said, “Yes, you can expect a little somethin’ somethin’.”
“Sooner or later,” he added. “Shout out to Eminem, Shout out to Kid Rock. Shout out to everybody in Detroit putting on for the city and giving back to the city. I’ma keep reppin’, keep supporting.”
During the interview Sean also announced that his upcoming album will be released in late 2014 or early next year.

“This new album I got coming out, you guys will get it by the end of the year or at the latest early next year,” he said. “But there’s a lot of new songs on there that’s gonna be the theme songs, a lot of new walk out songs. I’ma keep making music for you guys.”
Addressing his favorite Detroit sports teams, Sean named the Tigers and Lions before speaking on the baseball team’s recent playoff run.
“I follow the Tigers the closest and then the Lions, neck and neck,” he said. “And then of course I follow the Redwings and the Pistons as well. But the Tigers and Lions, those are my two favorite. In my crib I got Barry Sander’s jersey signed.”
Last week, Big Sean spoke with DJ Whoo Kid about his upcoming third studio album and announced that Kanye West would appear on the record.
