After 50 Cent challenged Floyd Mayweather to read a page from a Harry Potter book for a $750,000 donation to a charity of the boxer’s choice, Mayweather responded in an off-the-cuff interaction with a fan filmed as a part of Showtime’s All Access pre-fight documentary series.
While in Las Vegas leading up to his rematch against Marcos Maidana, Mayweather was asked about 50 Cent’s challenge as he walked through a casino.
“Hey, I heard 50 Cent challenged you for 750 thousand,” a fan says in the video. “That’s all he challenged me?” Mayweather responds. “He gotta raise the stakes. Let him know. Do he still make music? I ain’t heard him in a while.”
In a separate response posted to Twitter in August, the boxer showed off an image of two checks worth more than $70 million.

Showtimes’ recent All Access special documents the lead-up to the Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana match scheduled for September 13. In May, Mayweather beat Maidana in twelve rounds by majority decision in a welterweight championship fight. Speaking about their rematch on All Access, Mayweather predicted another victory. “I’m gonna stay at the top and continue to control boxing,” he said. “When you’re speaking boxing, you’re speaking Mayweather.”
