After months of public statements from both sides about a possible divorce and its ensuing settlement, Master P visited The Wendy Williams Show to discuss the rift between himself and wife Sonya Miller.
“I wanna apologize to her, to be honest with you, because I’m not perfect,” he said. “Nobody’s perfect. But I’m at a good stage in my life right now that I don’t have a right to say whatever she need to do.”
Responding to Miller’s allegations that she moved in with their son Romeo after needing to enroll for welfare, Master P said, “stop listening to all that stuff.”
“I’m just saying, if she living with Romeo, that means she living a beautiful life,” he added.

Addressing his own recent comments about Miller’s alleged drug abuse, Master P again apologized after speaking about the influence that substance abuse can have.
“Not only her family but my family, we’re trying to break that cycle of drugs and alcohol,” he said. “I think that a lot of people don’t know that it breaks up a lot of families. It destroys a lot of families. But that’s not my right to say that and I realize that. Like I said, I wanna apologize to her for that because I don’t have that right. I’m not God. I’m not perfect.”
Detailing the possibility of a divorce settlement, Master P claimed that Miller will get what’s due.
“Whatever she deserves she gonna get it,” he said. “I have no problem with that. In life, you move on. You do things. You either fall in love or you fall out because of the communication. I think in the beginning we never really had the proper communication.”

Last month, HipHopDX reported that Master P had lost custody of four of his children to Miller after the record label founder failed to appear at a scheduled court hearing. The custody decision comes just months after Miller claimed that she was left destitute despite her family’s successful history in the music and entertainment business.
