Top Dawg Entertainment is top dog this week, as ScHoolboy Q’s “Hell of a Night” tops the charts and Black Hippy’s “U.O.E.N.O. Remix” continues to dominate. The long-awaited meeting between Nicki Minaj and Peter Rosenberg also made waves.
ScHoolboy Q Takes Control Of The Charts With “Hell Of A Night”
ScHoolboy Q’s upcoming major label debut, Oxymoron, will be the “hottest” album ever, if the rapper is to be believed.
One of the tracks that will contribute to the project for which Q has built such lofty expectations is “Hell of a Night,” an eerie-yet-high-tempo cut.

“Get up out your seat, you can have my drink, let me see you dance / Get up off your feet, you can be my freak, let me see you jam / When the sun falls, then the moon lights / Might be a hell of a night,” starts off the cut, which is sure to make rounds on the radio.
Nicki Minaj & Peter Rosenberg Finally Meet Face-To-Face
Almost a year to the day from when Hot 97 personality Peter Rosenberg referred to Nicki Minaj’s “Starships” as “bullshit,” prompting the New York emcee to cancel her Summer Jam perfomance, Nicki stopped by Hot 97 to discuss the matter.
“It’s cool. It’s water under the bridge,” she revealed. “It’s so long ago. I can’t even act like I care anymore. I don’t care. I really don’t, but I appreciate you guys having me here…This is the thing, in hindsight I should have just did the show because I’ve never allowed anyone to—no matter what I’ve gone through personally or whatever professionally, I’ve never allowed that to make me let my fans down. And even if it wasn’t a Nicki Minaj fan, just a fan in general, somebody that was there that paid to see the show. I think in hindsight I should have just came out. Because it’s my hometown especially…I apologize for not coming out and doing the show because they had nothing to do with that.”

Still, Minaj had a bone to pick with Rosenberg. “I get it, that’s what you do. I guess, to me, I just don’t know your resume. You know what I’m saying? So, I never found you funny. I never found you entertaining. I never found you smart. I just found you annoying,” said Minaj while speaking directly to Rosenberg. “Because I grew up in New York. Well, I’ve grown up on HOT 97. I know Angie and I know Flex, Mister Cee, and all these people…To me you don’t have enough of a resume to make those comments.”

The track, featured on 2007’s 8 Diagrams has nearly every Wu member (sans Ghostface Killah) lamenting the loss of their fallen comrade. “Some say it’s bad karma, what you do? / …Now I’ma swallow this whole bottle for Ol’ Dirty / Damn it hurts me, I hate it when brothers go early,” rhymes Method Man on the track.
ODB died on November 13, 2004, of complications arising from a drug overdose.
