Diddy may have been instrumental in Making The Band, but the band—Danity Kane—now says that they do not need him. The group created in 2005’s third season of Diddy’s hit MTV series has been on hiatus since 2009. Four years into the group, the collective of Aubrey O’Day, D. Woods, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richards and Aundrea Fimbres disbanded—six months after O’Day and Woods had already left the group. Reports indicated that it was their mentor who separated the girls, and ceased the group. Richards would later re-appear with Diddy-Dirty Money, has ensemble for 2010’s Last Train To Paris album.

TMZ.com is reporting that the former #1 selling act is strongly considering a reunion. Four founding members met without D. Woods and a new manager, caught on camera. Despite dropping their only two albums on Diddy’s Bad Boy Worldwide imprint, the quartet is apparently not out to include their former mentor. “Who’s that?” said the clique, when pressed by videographers on Puffy’s involvement.
